Peking Opera or Jingju is a magnificent blend of of countless theatre conventions. It is stagecraft with a vibrant vocabulary steeped in tradition.
Using spectacular costumes and vibrant make-up, its tells the story of love, sorcery, ghosts, warriors an emperors through a blend of drama, poetry music, mime, acrobatics and stage fighting.
